What kind of rider is Mountain FeedBag designed for?
Mountain FeedBag is for ultra-endurance mountain bikers! 24-hour, 12-hour racers, and 100 mile riders will benefit the most from this specially designed bag. FeedBag is the perfect accessory for your race as well as for your long training rides.
If your goal is to finish the race and place well, you gotta train hard. If your goal is to win, you gotta Keep Rolling! Riding consistently, with as little downtime or wasted energy is crucial.
If 3 hour climbs aren't unusual for you - Mountain FeedBag is for you. If long winter training rides are par for the course, Mountain FeedBag is for you. If you wanna feel like you could ride forever - Mountain FeedBag is for you!
I'm left handed, can I mount the Mountain FeedBag to the left side of my bike?
Well, you could mount it on the left side, but it wouldn't open and close properly. We recommend that you purchase a left handed specific bag. Its features function exactly the same way but are aligned with the structure of the left side of the cockpit. It is a special order, so it takes a week for delivery.
Will my knee hit against the bag?
No! It seems counterintuitive to put a bag in the inside of the handlebar, but give it another look. Examine photos of yourself riding or photos of others. Watch where your knee goes when you pedal. Your knee won't hit the bag when you're pedaling because the bag is anterior to the head tube.
This is the perfect place for a FeedBag because:
- It's out of the way while pedaling
- It's out of your line-of-site. This is important for technical trails.
- Its low-profile keeps the bag and its contents from getting squished in the event of a crash.
- This is the optimum location ergonomically.
Occasionally, during your steepest hill - hardest efforts, if you're really standing and straining to get up something crazy, your knee might brush the outer lining of the soft bag. It's smooth here, and the touch, if it happens will be very light. You won't "bump" against it. Believe it, if you're doing something that causes you to touch the outside of the bag, your efforting won't let you notice it!
Safety Disclaimer
Always, always, always regard safety first. As with drinking from a cage-mounted water bottle or hydration pack, you must pick the time and place to drink when it is safe to do so. The same Common Sense Rules apply to Mountain FeedBag. Don't try to open Mountain FeedBag if you're in a ride situation where it's not safe to ride with one hand free, visibility is poor, or when your alertness or physical state is compromised. Additionally, always cinch bag closed before entering bumpy or challenging terrain.
